Petland West Wichita Celebrates First Anniversary

Wichita, KS, November 20, 2018–  Petland West Wichita celebrated its 1 year anniversary and in doing so, wanted to give back to the community in a special way.  

“Our birthday was special and we wanted to show our gratitude in a special way.  We love Wichita and we have been blessed by the community’s support over the last year. The Wichita Children’s Home was an easy choice for us – the work they do is incredible and the need is always there.  It is my firm belief that support should start locally, and the people with the Wichita Children’s Home organization quietly go about the job of helping the most vulnerable in our community every day. This was the first donation to Wichita Children’s Home and future fundraisers are planned in order to continue to support area charitable organizations. Petland West Wichita regularly supports animal rescue operations and is keenly focused on educating owners of all types of pets about responsible pet ownership. Through store events and community outreach efforts, owners Becky and Troy Hertel are committed to telling a different story about pet stores and the benefit of responsible breeder relationships, while also supporting organizations that work to find new homes for animals in need.
